STEVEN MACDONALD, AKA STEVEN PERRIE, SENTENCED IN CITY FOR SEX OFFENCES BREACHES

Steven MacDonald, who was previously known as Steven Perrie, is a convicted sex offender who changed his name in an attempt to hide his past.

He sought to reinvent himself as a reputable family man and businessman.

Recently, MacDonald received a sentence of 232 days in prison after violating multiple conditions of a Sexual Offences Prevention Order (SOPO).

Reports describe him as one of the worst sexual offenders in the country, continuing to pose a significant risk to the public.

MacDonald was able to access a child belonging to an associate without their knowledge of his criminal history, a feat made possible by his legal name change, which cost him only £42.44.

His breach of court restrictions—living with a woman and her child—was a clear violation of the strict conditions designed to safeguard others.

During the sentencing, Sheriff Richard MacFarlane emphasized the serious threat MacDonald poses, stating, “You do not see yourself as presenting a risk to anyone.” He added, “The author of the report is concerned about you.

They consider you pose a risk of causing serious harm in the community.” This name change followed a history of high-profile sex crimes, including a conviction for possessing a record-breaking amount of child abuse material.

Despite being on the sex offenders register for life, MacDonald has repeatedly found ways to evade restrictions, including using a credit card and contacting children in violation of his SOPO conditions.
