IRVINE SEX OFFENDER STEPHEN WALLACE JAILED FOR FLASHING IN UNDERPASS
A man who flashed two women and a child in the same Irvine underpass five years apart has been jailed.
Stephen Wallace was convicted after a jury at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court found him guilty of two charges.
Wallace, described as a prisoner at HMP Kilmarnock, was charged with intentionally engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a woman and a 12-year-old child on July 18, 2018 by pulling down his trousers, exposing himself, performing a sex act, and staring at the woman.
He was also accused of doing the same in an underpass near Bank Street and Manson Road on July 3, 2023, approaching a woman while she was alone, pulling down his trousers and underwear, exposing himself, performing a sex act, and making sexual comments towards her.
Despite his denials, he was convicted and sentenced to 43 months, reduced to seven months due to time already served.
He will also be on the sex offenders register until 2034 and will have a Sexual Harm Prevention Order for five years.
