STEPHEN COX, BERKSHIRE MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL, SENTENCED TO 22 YEARS FOR SEXUAL ASSAULTS IN BRACKNELL
A medical practitioner from Berkshire, Stephen Cox, has been handed a lengthy prison sentence of 22 years after being found guilty of multiple indecent assaults committed against women during routine medical examinations.
The conviction, which was announced last week, involves Cox, aged 65, who was convicted on 12 separate charges linked to seven different female patients.
These assaults took place over a span of nearly a decade, from 1988 to 1997, at a medical practice located in Bracknell, Berkshire.
During the court proceedings, it was detailed that Cox engaged in inappropriate conduct by forcing some victims to undress beyond what was medically necessary.
He would press his body against theirs and touch their breasts without any legitimate medical reason, actions that clearly crossed professional boundaries and constituted sexual misconduct.
