SCUNTHORPE MAN JAILED FOR CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE
A Scunthorpe man who sexually abused two children has been sentenced to three years and three months in prison.Stacie John Farrar, aged 47, was found guilty of two counts of sexual assault of a child under 13 after a five-day trial at Grimsby Crown Court in June.
Additionally, Farrar was previously ordered by Hull Crown Court to be subject to an indefinite restraining order and a sexual harm prevention order.
He will also be on the sex offenders register for life.
The investigation was initiated after a child disclosed that Farrar had sexually abused them over several years.
During inquiries, another victim came forward with similar allegations.
Farrar faced charges including five counts of sexual assault of a child under 13, assault by penetration, and rape of a child under 13, although he denied all accusations.
Det Con Katherine Drapier described Farrar as "an abhorrent individual" who posed a "danger to children".
She praised the victims and their families for their bravery throughout the process.
