WISBECH MAN JAILED FOR 25 YEARS IN CHILD RAPE CASE
A 32-year-old man from Wisbech, Cambridgeshire, named Shaun Bolingbroke, has been sentenced to 25 years in prison after being found guilty of assaulting a child under the age of 13. His conviction included multiple charges, most notably the sexual abuse of a young girl, which led the judge at Cambridge Crown Court to impose a lengthy sentence suited to the gravity of his crimes. Prior to the verdict, a detective described Bolingbroke as an 'incredibly dangerous offender.' During police investigations, his mobile phone was examined and revealed over 50 illegal images of children, contributing significantly to his criminal record. Bolingbroke also admitted to additional offenses, including the production of indecent images of children. To prevent any further offenses, he has been issued an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order. Detective Constable Annette Renwick highlighted the risk Bolingbroke presents, commenting, “Bolingbroke is an incredibly dangerous offender.
