MIDDLESBROUGH MAN JAILED FOR BRUTAL DOMESTIC ASSAULTS
A violent man named Shaun Beeches, residing in Middlesbrough, was sentenced after subjecting his partner to two severe beatings in October and December of the previous year, leaving her battered and bruised. In the first attack, Beeches reportedly told his victim he wanted to 'see how hard he could punch' before launching a savage assault.
The victim's grandmother was horrified to see her battered face and took photographs of her injuries.
Prosecutor Nigel Soppitt stated that Beeches sat there and took the beating, then went outside and smoked a cigarette as if nothing had happened.
In the second incident, Beeches twice visited the victim's home without permission and attacked her again despite having a restraining order.
During this attack, he demanded sexual acts, which the victim refused, and he responded with kicking and beating her while threatening her and her grandmother.
The victim was left very frightened.
Beeches pleaded guilty to causing actual bodily harm and common assault.
The judge sentenced him to 18 months in prison, commenting on his aggressive and abusive behavior, influenced by alcohol abuse.
The court noted that Beeches's conduct being 'like a domestic punch bag' left the victim scared to death of him.
