MIDDLESBROUGH'S IAN ORD HANDED STALKING PROTECTION ORDERS AFTER RUINING GYM OWNER'S LIFE FOR YEARS
A man from Middlesbrough has been issued two stalking protection orders after causing significant distress to two residents of Teesside over several years.Court proceedings initiated by Cleveland Police took place at Teesside Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, June 3.
After a full day of hearings, the magistrates approved two five-year orders prohibiting Mr.
Ord — who operates the Atlas Gym, as the court was told — from contacting or making posts about Mike Hind MBE and Ashleigh Jackson.
The court described how Mr.
Ord had accused Mr.
Hind and Ms.
Jackson of being paedophiles, claimed that Mr.
Hind was "robbing nannas," and described him as a "fraud" and a "conman." DCI John Bonner of Middlesbrough CID testified that most of the incidents involved "online stalking" that spanned several years.
Arriving late to court dressed in a black suit and glasses — which he later explained were "for effect" — Mr.
Ord said he intended to speak "in my own defence today." He claimed to have confronted Ms.
Jackson at Mas Body Gym and Mr.
Hind during the Queen's Baton Relay for the Commonwealth Games, asserting that he was acting as an "amateur journalist" aiming for transparency regarding donations.
The magistrates decided that issuing the orders was "necessary" to ensure the safety of Mr.
Hind and Ms.
Jackson.
Outside the courtroom, Mr.
Hind commented: "My life has been ruined for four years.
I've lived in fear and obscurity.
I can't fully express how terrible it's been.
Now, I feel like I can finally see some hope at the end of this ordeal." The court also heard the allegations made by Mr.
Ord, including claims that Mr.
Hind and Ms.
Jackson were paedophiles, that Mr.
Hind was "robbing nannas," and that he was a "fraud" and "conman." Mr.
Hind, who owns Mas Body Gym, stated: "The interim stalking protection order issued in August 2025 has significantly helped protect me and my family." The five-year orders prevent Mr.
Ord from contacting or posting about the two victims and bar him from approaching their residences or workplaces where he is aware they live or work.
Following the conclusion of the hearing, Mr.
Hind said: "Receiving the stalking order means we can live more normally as a family.
I no longer need to wear a body camera constantly or have CCTV running on all my devices.
We can finally enjoy some peace." He also expressed surprise at being stalked, noting: "I never imagined I would be in this position.
I'm just an ordinary guy.
I don't know what this man's problem is with me.
The accusations are ridiculous, and I only want to help others."
