BURNLEY MAN PLEADS GUILTY TO PUBLIC INDECENCY OUTSIDE MCDONALD'S
A man sat on a bench outside McDonald's in Burnley town centre with his penis exposed and urinating.
Blackburn Magistrates' Court heard St James Street was busy with shoppers, including women and children, at the time.
Shane Foley, 35, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to outraging public decency on August 5.
He was remanded on bail for the preparation of a pre-sentence report.
Bilal Saeed, prosecuting, said Foley was heavily intoxicated at the time of the incident.
Mark Williams, mitigating, said his client was working with the Churches on the Street organisation, which was trying to get him into rehab.
"Hopefully, the efforts of the probation service can dovetail with Churches on the Street and he can get the help he obviously needs," said Mr Williams.
He is due in court for sentence on November 11.
