BOSTON OFFENDER SENTENCED FOR RAPE WITHIN HOURS OF CRIME
A man named Sergejs Susorovs, aged 26, was convicted and sentenced to five years and four months in prison for the rape of a 19-year-old woman in Boston.
The assault occurred on Wednesday, May 18 around 3 pm, when Susorovs reportedly grabbed the woman while she was walking on London Road and raped her in a nearby wooded area.
Following the incident, police responded quickly; within two hours, Susorovs had been identified and arrested after he tried to flee from officers.
Detective Inspector Simon Lovett, leading the investigation, praised the victim for her strength and detailed description, which was instrumental in apprehending the offender.
Susorovs was detained and brought before Lincoln Crown Court, where he received a custodial sentence.
