MAN JAILED FOR RAPE

George Cordell, aged 32 and from Boston, received a sentence of 12 years and six months after appearing at Lincoln Crown Court on 16 March.

In addition to his prison term, he will be subject to a four-year licence period, be listed on the Sex Offenders’ Register, and be subject to an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO).

A restraining order has also been issued against him.

He was found guilty of two counts of raping a girl under the age of 13, two counts of assault by penetration involving a girl under 13, and two counts of sexual touching of a girl under 13.

These offences took place within the Boston area from August 2024 to September 2025.

Cordell was detained in September 2025 and formally charged on 11 November.

During a court hearing on 22 December, he admitted to all the charges and was remanded in custody until his next court date.
