POOL PRODIGY TURNED SEX OFFENDER JAILED FOR SIX YEARS
Sean Sneddon – now 20 – was heralded as a child prodigy in pool who represented his country at only 10 years old. However, he was convicted of 11 charges following a trial at the High Court in Glasgow and was jailed for six years last week.
Three victims were either raped or sexually assaulted by Sneddon.
They were also hounded for naked photos, as was the fourth victim, in offences occurring between 2016 and 2022.
Sneddon was described by prosecutors as acting “casually and callously” with the girl during her ordeal.
One victim reported that the sex attacks happened “lots of times”, with Sneddon begging her not to tell anyone.
The court heard the other victims' testimonies, with some only reporting the crimes a year after they occurred.
The judge also ordered Sneddon to be supervised for a further two years upon release.
