SCOTS LIFEBOAT HERO TO FACE COURT FOR PLOTTING TO RAPE NINE-YEAR-OLD GIRL
A former hero of the Scots lifeboat service is set to appear in court over allegations of planning to sexually assault a nine-year-old girl.Ronald MacKillop, who previously served as a coxswain at the Oban RNLI Lifeboat Station, is accused of collaborating with someone he believed to be 35-year-old Chloe to carry out a sexual assault on her nine-year-old niece, Skye.
Unbeknownst to him, Chloe was an undercover police officer.
It is alleged that MacKillop communicated with Chloe through adult websites, discussing child sexual abuse, and requested to meet her and Skye for sexual purposes.
He is also accused of possessing indecent images of children and extreme pornography involving humans and animals.
MacKillop faces six charges related to these allegations, which are said to have taken place between December and February at various locations, including Oban.
The case was initially scheduled to be heard at the High Court in Glasgow but has been postponed until September.
