HEREFORD RAPIST HAS SENTENCE INCREASED
UPDATE 06/02/2026: Scott Chapman, 25, of Barklie Mead, Hereford, was sentenced to four years and three months in prison at Worcester Crown Court in September.But his sentence was increased at the Court of Appeal on Thursday to six years and eight months, after the solicitor general referred his case to the Court of Appeal under the Unduly Lenient Sentence (ULS) scheme.
The Solicitor General Ellie Reeves MP said: "Scott Chapman is a dangerous sexual predator.
He sexually abused a young girl on several occasions causing untold mental and physical harm." She added: "I would like to offer my deepest sympathies to the victim for the trauma she has endured.
"I welcome the court's decision to increase Scott Chapman's s sentence, preventing this dangerous offender from harming anyone else." ———————————————————————- A man from Hereford with a paedophilic history, who raped a teenage girl he had connected with through social media, has received a prison sentence of four years and three months on Thursday, 18 September.
Scott Chapman, aged 24 and residing at Barklie Mead, Hereford, was found guilty in Worcester Crown Court of a single charge of raping a girl aged between 13 and 15, as well as four counts of sexual assault by penetration on females within the same age group.
Additionally, he was convicted of engaging in sexual communications with a minor and producing or pseudo-producing indecent images of a child.
He was also subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order for a period of ten years, restricting him from having unsupervised contact with females under 16, banning him from paid or voluntary work that involves contact with minors, and requiring him to disclose his address and personal details to police.
