MAN CAUGHT WITH INDECENT IMAGES OF CHILDREN IS SENTENCED
A SEX offender has been handed a community order after he was caught with indecent images of children.Duncan Podmore appeared before magistrates for sentencing in October after entering guilty pleas to one count of possessing a prohibited image of a child and three of making indecent photographs of a child at an earlier hearing in August.
The 33-year-old had made five category A indecent images of a child as well as one category B image and 33 category C images in Hereford on April 20, 2023, prosecutor Elizabeth Blacklock told magistrates in Hereford.
He had been in possession of a prohibited image of a child in Hereford on the same date, the court heard.
Podmore, of Withies Close, Withington, was handed a community order with 200 hours of unpaid work and must sign the sex offenders' register for five years.
He was also handed a five-year sexual harm prevention order restricting his internet and technology use and contact with children aged under 16.
He was further ordered to pay prosecution costs of £85 and a £114 victim surcharge.
