SCOT FOX FROM ARNOLD JAILED FOR OVER 400,000 CHILD SEX ABUSE IMAGES

In June 2021, a man from Arnold was sentenced to prison after being found with an enormous collection of child sexual abuse images.

Scot Fox, aged 46, was detained following evidence that linked him to the online purchase and storage of indecent material. An investigation was launched, leading to his arrest at his home address in September of the previous year.

During the search, officers confiscated several electronic devices and subsequently discovered a total of 402,017 images and videos related to child abuse — most stored on a single computer.

Of these, more than 7,500 images were classified as category A, indicating the most severe level of sexual abuse against children.

Fox, residing at Catlow Walk, admitted to officers that he had been collecting these images for approximately 20 years. He later pleaded guilty to three counts of making indecent images of children, which pertain to the act of saving and storing such material.

At Nottingham Crown Court on a Thursday, Fox received a two-year prison sentence. Additionally, he was ordered to be on the Sex Offenders’ Register for ten years and was subjected to a sexual harm prevention order aimed at strictly limiting his online activities upon release from custody.
