CONNER DILKES FROM ARNOLD SENTENCED FOR RAPE IN DAYBROOK
A young man from Arnold has been sentenced to prison after being convicted of sexually assaulting a minor.Conner Dilkes, aged 18, committed the assault in July 2023, and law enforcement authorities swiftly apprehended him following the incident.
During the investigation, Dilkes was subjected to multiple interviews.
Initially, he denied any acquaintance with the girl and insisted that he had never met her.
However, investigators uncovered CCTV footage and forensic evidence that contradicted his claims, establishing his involvement in the assault.
The attack took place in an overgrown area in Daybrook, a neighborhood near Arnold, where Dilkes assaulted the underage girl.
Facing the mounting evidence, he ultimately pleaded guilty to two counts of rape related to the incident.
In addition to the charges of sexual assault, Dilkes also admitted to other offenses.
These included theft, assault by beating, and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.
These additional charges stemmed from an unrelated incident that occurred in June of the previous year.
His appearance at Nottingham Crown Court on Thursday resulted in a significant prison sentence.
The judge sentenced him to four and a half years behind bars.
Furthermore, Dilkes was ordered to be placed on the sex offenders’ register for life, ensuring ongoing monitoring of his activities.
To prevent any further contact with the victim, the court also imposed a sexual harm prevention order, which will impose strict restrictions on his behavior once he is released from prison.
Additionally, an indefinite restraining order was issued, explicitly prohibiting him from making any contact with the girl he assaulted, safeguarding her from potential harm.
