WOMAN HARASSES EX FOR 15 MONTHS, GETS SUSPENDED PRISON SENTENCE
A woman named Sarah Hall, aged 36, from Lady Beam Court in Kelly Bray near Callington, was involved in a prolonged campaign of frightening harassment against her former partner of 16 years.
Over a period of 15 months, Hall sent her ex-partner more than 100 threatening and abusive text and voice messages.
After being repeatedly blocked from platforms like TikTok, she even created fake accounts to continue her vitriol.
Hall also forced her ex to live in fear, believing she might face further abuse or physical harm.
On one occasion, she threw a brick through her ex-partner's car windscreen.
Hall pleaded guilty to one count of stalking involving fear of violence and one charge of criminal damage.
In court, her victim described the harassment as relentless, distressing, and impacting her mental health, stating she felt ‘lost, confused, scared and vulnerable’.
The victim added that she even had to tape up her letterbox for her safety.
The judge sentenced Hall to 18 months in prison, suspended for two years, and ordered her to wear an alcohol monitoring tag for 120 days.
A restraining order was also imposed, banning her from contacting her ex-partner for five years.
The judge emphasized that Hall must accept the end of the relationship and warned her that any breach of the restraining order could result in a five-year prison sentence.
