RYAN PATERSON SENTENCED IN FALKIRK FOR VIOLENT CRIMES AGAINST FIVE WOMEN IN FORTH VALLEY
A man named Ryan Paterson has been formally sentenced at Falkirk Sheriff Court for a series of violent offenses carried out against five women within the Forth Valley region.Ryan Paterson, aged 23, was found guilty of multiple charges related to domestic abuse, which included acts that posed a danger to life.
These offenses were committed over a span of several years, from January 2019 through August 2024, across various locations within Forth Valley.
Paterson entered a guilty plea to all charges on March 5, 2025, during a court hearing, and the sentencing took place on May 2, 2025.
As part of his punishment, the court also imposed a lifetime non-harassment order, which is designed to protect the victims from any future contact or intimidation.
Detective Inspector Forbes Wilson, who is part of the Forth Valley Public Protection Unit, commented on the case, stating that Paterson now has to face the consequences of his actions.
Wilson expressed appreciation to the victims for their bravery in coming forward, including one woman who tragically passed away before justice could be fully served.
Wilson also underscored the critical importance of reporting domestic abuse incidents and highlighted the various support services available to victims.
These include Police Scotland, Rape Crisis Scotland, and Scottish Women's Aid, all of which provide vital assistance to those affected by domestic violence and abuse.
