MAN THREATENED TO PUT EX-PARTNER “SIX FEET UNDER”
A man who was released from custody was returned to prison after a month due to multiple death threats against his former partner.Robbie Grant, aged 27, went to his ex-partner's residence on 13 May, despite having an active restraining order that barred him from contacting or visiting her.
Following a dispute between the two, Grant departed from her home but soon called her mobile, threatening to kill her and saying he would put her "six feet under." During the call, he also mentioned arranging for a friend, who owned a shotgun, to visit the victim, which caused her to fear for her safety.
The victim reported these threats to the police.
On 15 May, police officers contacted Grant, during which he issued additional threats to harm and kill the woman.
Subsequently, Grant was arrested at a hotel in Peterborough later that day.
On 23 June at Peterborough Crown Court, Grant, a resident of Drayton Road, Norwich, Norfolk, was sentenced to three years and ten months in prison after admitting to making threats to kill and intimidating a witness or juror.
