SEX OFFENDER FOUND WITH 'PAEDOPHILE MANUAL'
A registered sex offender who blackmailed other paedophiles after selling them child sexual abuse images has been sentenced for further offences. The 38-year-old was handed a nine-year extended sentence at Norwich Crown Court last year for blackmail, making indecent images of a child, distributing child sex images and failing to comply with notification requirements.
It came after he was arrested at Norwich bus station in January 2025 following a year on the run from police after having been released from prison on licence.
Carver had been "moving from hotel to hotel" using various aliases and "accessing a significant amount of indecent images of children," including via the online Telegram app.
Judge Ross Cohen, who sentenced him, ordered that his latest sentence be served at the same time as the nine-year extended sentence.
Carver was previously placed on the sex offenders' register indefinitely and made subject of an Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO).
Police also found over 50 PayPal accounts which showed he had been receiving payments in exchange for the child abuse images.
