KOSOVAN SOLDIER 'RAPED WOMAN AFTER MEETING HER OUTSIDE KEBAB SHOP'
A soldier from Kosovo has appeared in court, facing charges of raping and sexually assaulting a woman he met during a night out in Norwich.Bali Hoxha, aged 29, was in the UK at the time, training Ukrainian soldiers, when the alleged incident occurred around midnight on September 17 or in the early hours of September 18, 2025.
The female victim, who is in her twenties, told jurors at Norwich Crown Court that Hoxha “took advantage” of her while she was intoxicated, describing her level of drunkenness as a seven out of ten.
She claimed he “led her to a secluded area in Norwich, stripped her of her clothes, and raped her.” Although she was not heavily intoxicated, she was slightly under the influence.
The prosecution stated that Hoxha “kept following” her, “persisted in talking to her, put his arm around her, and made comments such as ‘I really like the way you look’ and ‘you’re really pretty’.” Later, the woman saw two individuals and shouted for help before running towards them, managing to free herself from Hoxha’s grasp.
After sleeping and speaking with her sister, she contacted the police regarding the incident.
CCTV footage was reviewed, but no cameras cover the specific location of the event, which is believed to have taken place near the river close to Norwich Railway Station.
Hoxha has entered a plea of not guilty to charges of rape and two counts of sexual assault.
The trial is expected to last approximately five days.
