NORWICH SEX OFFENDER HAD SECRET EXPLICIT ONLINE CHAT ACCOUNT
A registered sex offender, who avoided imprisonment for violating a public protection order, has confessed to having private accounts on adult chat platforms.During a hearing at Norwich Magistrates’ Court this week, he pleaded guilty to additional violations after police found that he had set up social media profiles and anonymous usernames without notifying authorities.
Prosecutors explained that these incidents followed an unannounced police inspection of his home by public protection officers in August last year.
The court was also informed that he has a history of failing to comply with court orders.
The magistrates ordered him to be sentenced at Norwich Crown Court on July 20.
Residing at White House Court in Catton Grove, Ross has prior convictions related to sexual offenses, including two counts in 2022 for possession of indecent images of children and in 2023 for engaging in explicit communications with individuals he believed to be pre-teen girls—who were actually adult online predators seeking paedophiles.
Footage showing his arrest was recorded and shared online.
