KELSO MAN CRIMINALLY EXPOSED: CAUGHT WITH INDECENT CHILD'S PHOTO IN WALLET
A 36-year-old man named Ricky Clift, from Kelso, was caught possessing an indecent image of a girl aged around 13 'in a state of undress'.The incident involved Clift having a Polaroid picture of the girl and keeping it in his wallet.
He pleaded guilty at Jedburgh Sheriff Court to possessing the indecent image of a child at a house in Kelso between December 2022 and March last year.
The prosecutor, India McLean, revealed that a relative had raised the alarm about the situation.
When questioned by police, Clift admitted to having the photograph and stated that he kept it in his wallet.
The case was deferred until the next month for background reports, and the length of time Clift’s name will remain on the Sex Offenders Register will be decided when the case is recalled on May 20.
