KELSO MAN ADMITS SEXUALLY ASSAULTING 2 TEENAGERS
April 2024: Background investigations have been initiated at Jedburgh Sheriff Court regarding a hotel chef who confessed to sexually assaulting two girls aged 17.Michael Anderson, aged 33, admitted to the charges in connection with incidents at Ednam House Hotel located in Kelso on November 9 of the previous year.
During the proceedings, it was revealed that Anderson had been consuming alcohol at the hotel's bar and was found to be severely intoxicated at the time of the attacks.
Allegedly he moved to Edinburgh, Anderson’s sentencing has been postponed until August 26 to allow for the preparation of a Criminal Justice Social Work Report.
Additionally, he has been placed under the requirements for notification under the Sexual Offences Act.
