SPALDING MAN PLEADS GUILTY TO MAKING INDECENT IMAGES OF CHILDREN
A Spalding man admitted making indecent photographs of children when he appeared at Lincoln Crown Court.Richard Wilson, aged 43, of Chestnut Avenue, Spalding, pleaded guilty to three charges of making indecent photographs of children, all of which took place on 28 June 2020.
The charges involve 56 images classified as Category A (the most serious), 35 in Category B, and 64 in Category C.
Defense lawyer Anna Soubry told the court that Wilson had no prior convictions and requested the sentencing be delayed for a probation report.
She described the incident as "a one-off, a moment of complete madness," and explained it was of some age, with no suggestion of repetition.
Judge Catarina Sjolin Knight agreed to the adjournment until August 4 at Lincoln Crown Court.
The judge warned Wilson that she was making no promises about the sentence but advised him to cooperate with the Probation Service.
Wilson was granted bail until sentencing and is now required to notify on the Sex Offenders’ Register.
