MAN SENTENCED FOR STALKING
A man responsible for stalking a woman through a variety of mobile phones and fabricated social media profiles has been sentenced to two and a half years in prison.Richard Dale, from Pinchbeck Road in Spalding, pleaded guilty to stalking without threats of violence prior to his court appearance at Lincoln Crown Court on Friday, March 6.
The 40-year-old also admitted to breaching a previously issued stalking prevention order, which had been imposed following an earlier incident targeting another woman.
According to court reports, Dale contacted his current victim using numerous different phone numbers, including both personal and blocked lines, and established fake online accounts to maintain communication.
His intrusive actions occurred during the year 2025, culminating in his arrest on October 30 of the previous year.
Following his arrest, he was held on remand until his court date.
Police confiscated his mobile devices, and investigations by the Communications Data Investigation Unit provided evidence supporting the charges.
Dale received a sentence of 30 months in prison but has already served four months while on remand.
