A man from Farnborough has received a custodial sentence of over five years after engaging in a campaign of stalking and harassment against four individuals.
Richard Pexton, aged 51 and residing on Cody Road in Farnborough, was responsible for sending unwanted messages to his victims, posting multiple malicious and threatening comments about them on Facebook, and even discussing them with other people.
During proceedings at Winchester Crown Court, it was revealed that some messages were particularly violent, abusive, and menacing.
His conduct from December 2024 through October 2025 caused significant fear and distress among those targeted, impacting their daily lives considerably.
An investigation was initiated, and following his arrest at his home in October 2025, Pexton spat at officers attempting to detain him.
He was subsequently charged and admitted guilt to four counts of stalking causing serious alarm or distress, an assault causing harm to an emergency worker, and possession of a Class B controlled drug.
On Thursday, April 17, at Winchester Crown Court, Pexton was sentenced to five years and three months in prison.
Additionally, he received a restraining order and a ban from contacting the victims.
