ROCHDALE MAN JAILED FOR MURDER HE ADMITTED VIA TEXT
Richard Howarth, who is 42 years old and lives on Lincoln Drive in Littleborough, was found guilty of murder after he confessed via text message to his brother that he had killed his partner, Anne-Marie Nield.
The fatal incident took place in May at a flat on Oldham Road in Rochdale, where Ms.
Nield was severely injured in a brutal attack and later died from her wounds.
Howarth admitted to the crime during police investigations and pled guilty before Bolton Crown Court.
He was sentenced to life imprisonment, with a minimum term of 15 years before he can be considered for parole.
