HOSPITAL RADIOGRAPHER STRUCK OFF AFTER TURNING CT SCANS OF FEMALE PATIENTS INTO 3D IMAGES OF THEIR PRIVATES
A tribunal found he carried out the acts for his 'sexual proclivities'.The Health and Care Professions Tribunal Service found Ian Hardman, 62, used his medical software to create images of six women’s private parts for sexual pleasure.
He produced the images in a 33-minute window before seeing patients on December 20, 2023, while working alone at a private hospital.
Colleagues indicated there was no clinical justification for modifying the scans, and he claimed the images were created for "educational purposes" despite his 40 years of experience.
Charlotte Brownhill, Director of Clinical Services, stated she could not see any reason besides showing a lifelike image of a naked female torso, which was unnecessary for clinical purposes.
As a consequence, he was struck off the register and can no longer work as a health professional.
