ROCHDALE MAN JAILED FOR CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE AFTER TRAGIC CASE
Ashafaq Yousaf, aged 31 and of Stanley Street, Rochdale, was convicted of multiple serious sexual offences including four counts of rape.
He received a sentence of 19 years in prison.
The case was part of an ongoing investigation, Operation Doublet, addressing child sexual exploitation in Rochdale.
Det Chief Insp Jamie Daniels highlighted the complexity of the case and praised the bravery of the victims, emphasizing the importance of supporting victims and working together to protect vulnerable children.
The NSPCC also commented on the deliberate targeting and systematic abuse of three young girls by the offenders, noting their courage in speaking out after the incident.
