WORKSOP MAN JAILED FOR HORRIFYING CHILD ABUSE AND MESSAGE EXCHANGE
A man named Reece Green, aged 22, has been sentenced for multiple heinous offenses involving child abuse. He was found to have sexually assaulted a young boy on at least three separate occasions and took indecent photographs of him in a state of undress.
The police reported that Green engaged in exchanging 'sickening' explicit messages with children from around the world, some of whom he met on social media platforms.
He also paid some of these children to send him explicit images and admitted to being 'dangerous' while in conversation.
Green was initially arrested in November 2022 when police received intelligence that an indecent video of a child had been uploaded from an address in Worksop.
During the investigation, authorities seized four mobile phones, discovering indecent images and extreme pornography.
Further searches revealed that Green had been communicating sexually with teenage boys and even paid some to send explicit images.
In one conversation, he explicitly described himself as 'dangerous' and admitted to abusing a young boy.
Despite being on bail and charged with multiple offenses, police received more intelligence indicating he was continuing to offend.
Consequently, Green was re-arrested on August 28, 2024, and further indecent images and chats with a 13-year-old boy from the US were uncovered.
Green pleaded guilty to over 20 charges and was sentenced to six years and eight months in prison, followed by a four-year extended licence.
Nottingham Crown Court condemned his actions as "appalling" and noted his awareness that his victims were underage, yet he continued with his depraved conduct.
He was also subjected to a sexual harm prevention order to protect the public from his further offending.
