RAPIST JAILED AFTER TRYING TO STOP VICTIM CALLING POLICE
A man who forcibly tried to stop his victim from calling the police has been sentenced to prison.
Luke Frost followed the woman home after an incidental meeting on 13 May last year.
Footage captured by a doorbell camera showed Frost, who was familiar to the woman, sexually assaulting her outside her property.
He then forced entry into her living room, where, despite her obvious objections, he committed rape.
Frost, who has a past record of violence against women, also spat on her and verbally abused her throughout the assault.
He attempted to confiscate her mobile phone as she sought to contact authorities.
His efforts were unsuccessful, and police arrived shortly afterward.
The 33-year-old Frost ran away but was apprehended following a chase the next day.
In November at Nottingham Crown Court, he denied any non-consensual activity, claiming the sexual acts were consensual.
However, the jury convicted him of one count of rape and one of sexual assault.
On Friday 13 March, Frost of Bridge Street, Worksop, received a 13-year extended prison sentence.
