QARI ABDUL RAUF ROCHDALE GROOMING GANG MEMBER FIGHTS DEPORTATION IN UK

Qari Abdul Rauf, a convicted member of a notorious grooming gang operating in Rochdale, continues to be a figure of concern despite his legal and criminal history. In 2012, Rauf was among nine Asian men who were sentenced for their involvement in a series of heinous sex offences targeting vulnerable young girls in the Rochdale area. The case drew widespread media attention and highlighted the disturbing extent of the abuse inflicted upon dozens of young victims.

Although Rauf was initially sentenced to six years in prison, he was released early in November 2014 after serving approximately two and a half years behind bars. His release did not mark the end of his legal troubles, as the then-Home Secretary Theresa May ordered his deportation to Pakistan, citing the public interest and national security concerns. Despite this order, Rauf has remained in Rochdale, living in a well-maintained three-bedroom semi-detached house within the town, raising questions about the enforcement of deportation policies.

Over the years, Rauf has actively fought against the deportation order, asserting that his human rights are being violated because he has a wife and children residing in the UK. His legal battles have included multiple court cases aimed at preventing his removal, but all efforts have been unsuccessful. Rauf's case is often mentioned alongside that of fellow gang leader Adil Khan, who was involved in the disturbing case of a 13-year-old girl he impregnated. Both men have launched numerous legal challenges to stay in the UK, yet none have succeeded in overturning the deportation orders.

Investigations into the gang's activities revealed a horrifying pattern of abuse, with up to 47 girls as young as 12 being drugged and gang-raped over a two-year period. Rauf was identified as one of the central figures in this systematic abuse, which caused lasting trauma to the victims. The police reports and court documents detail the extent of the criminal operations, emphasizing the danger posed by Rauf and his associates.

Despite the deportation order issued in 2014, Rauf remains in Rochdale, living in close proximity to the victims and the community affected by his actions. The ongoing legal battles and his continued residence in the UK continue to spark debate about justice, human rights, and the effectiveness of deportation policies in cases involving serious criminal conduct.
