VILE PAEDOPHILE WHO BELIEVES CHILDREN ARE 'LITTLE ADULTS CAPABLE OF ENJOYING SEX' JAILED FOR OVER 2 DECADES
A convicted paedophile who held the reprehensible belief that children are 'little adults capable of enjoying sex' has received a 22-year prison sentence for a series of sexual offenses against a young girl, whom he left emotionally shattered.Philip Youngman, aged 58 and a farmer by profession, thought he could evade justice while abusing the girl multiple times.
He was found guilty of numerous rape and sexual assault charges after a trial.
The young victim, who now suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder, was compelled to relive her traumatic experience as she testified in court before the jury.
Following his convictions, Youngman expressed intentions of possibly taking his own life, contingent on the length of his prison term.
Judge Robert Adams, sentencing him, highlighted that Youngman presents a significant risk of causing serious harm to children in the future.
The court ordered Youngman to register as a sex offender and to adhere to a lifelong sexual harm prevention order.
During a five-day trial on Tyneside, a jury found Youngman guilty of five counts of rape and seven counts of serious sexual assault.
Tom Mitchell, defending stated that Youngman’s actions are unlikely to be repeated once he is older and released from jail.
Mr Mitchell said Youngman Chapel Garth, Broomsfield Brough, East Yorkshire, will be closely supervised when he is released due to the nature of the offences.
