BOLTON MAN JAILED FOR SEXUAL ASSAULT IN BEDROOM INCIDENT
A man has been sentenced to prison for inappropriately touching a 24-year-old woman.
Paul Swinburn, who is 42 years old, had been drinking alcohol to celebrate his birthday on March 20 of the previous year.
Later that evening, he was at a residence in Bolton where he entered the victim’s bedroom.
As she slept, he moved her underwear aside and made physical contact.
The woman awoke to find him and shouted at him, questioning his actions.
The incident was reported to the authorities.
In January, Swinburn from Woodvale Grove, Bolton, admitted to sexual touching during a hearing at Bolton Crown Court.
On Thursday, he was sentenced to six months in jail and ordered to register as a sex offender for seven years.
