RAPIST CAGED FOR 11 YEARS OVER VILE CHILD SEX OFFENCES

A sex offender has been taken into custody after being convicted of raping and abusing a child.

Paul Logan received a prison sentence of just over 11 years.

His crimes went unpunished for years until the victim came forward and reported the incidents to Northumbria Police.

Following what authorities described as a 'complex investigation,' Logan, who resides in Chirton Green, Blyth, was brought to justice.

The 46-year-old was found guilty of two counts of rape and three counts of sexual assault by Newcastle Crown Court.

He was sentenced on December 12 to a term of 11 years and six months in prison.
