OSCAR FUS OF GRANGEMOUTH RECEIVES COMMUNITY SENTENCE AND SEX OFFENDER REGISTRATION

In June 2018, Oscar Fus, residing at 95 Strowan Road, Grangemouth, admitted to approaching a male at Zetland Park Kiosk and requesting sexual activity. Sheriff Derek Livingston stated, “This is your second offence within a short period of time. I have no doubt it would have caused offence as well as alarm to the people you spoke to – you simply cannot speak to people in this manner.” Fus was sentenced to a 12-month supervised community payback order, requiring him to complete 100 hours of unpaid work within six months. Additionally, he was placed on the sex offender register for 12 months.

Previously, in July 2017, Fus, then 23 and employed at McDonald's in Grangemouth, appeared at Falkirk Sheriff Court after admitting to several sex offences. The court was informed that Fus had exposed himself and masturbated in public on two separate occasions shortly after being released from prison. On both instances, he filmed himself during the acts. Following reports from the public, Fus was apprehended at a local Wetherspoons pub. He also approached a teenage boy offering drugs in exchange for sex and attempted to groom a 14-year-old boy in a park.

Fus avoided prison and was instead sentenced to a community payback order, which included a six-month supervision order and the requirement to complete 60 hours of unpaid work. He was also placed on the sex offenders register.
