BANBURY MAN JAILED FOR 45 MONTHS FOR ASSAULT AT OXFORD COURT
A man who was convicted of assaulting his former partner has been sentenced to jail.Oltian Bica received a 45-month prison term following his hearing on January 11, which covered 10 charges of causing actual bodily harm through assault sustained over more than a year.
The 32-year-old was declared guilty after a trial at Oxford Crown Court before Christmas, where a jury of 12 deliberated.
Court details revealed that Bica, residing on Westminster Way in Banbury, had subjected his ex-partner to physical, mental, and emotional abuse.
Evidence presented showed he had pressed a knife against her stomach, spat at her, insulted her, searched her phone, and compelled her to purchase costly items.
Prosecutor Lisa Wilding KC characterized Bica’s actions as a form of emotional and psychological abuse.
