BANBURY PAIR FOUND GUILTY OF SEXUAL AND PHYSICAL OFFENCES
A pair has been convicted of physically and sexually abusing two children.Robert Williams, aged 46, faced charges including two counts of cruelty to a person under 16, three counts of raping a child under 13, and three counts of inducing or encouraging a child to participate in sexual activities.
Amy Williams, aged 36, was charged with two counts of cruelty to a minor under 16 and two counts of inciting a child to engage in sexual acts.
Both defendants denied all allegations, which purportedly occurred in Bicester from June 2013 to June 2017.
On May 20, the jury unanimously convicted Robert Williams on all charges.
Amy Williams was found guilty of two counts of causing or inciting a child to engage in sexual activity—one through unanimous verdict and the other by majority.
Robert Williams was remanded in custody ahead of his sentencing scheduled for June 19, while Amy Williams received conditional bail until her court date on June 24.
