CHATHAM PAEDOPHILE NICHOLAS JENNER PLANNED TO RAPE 8-YEAR-OLD USING LION KING TOY
In October 2020, a disturbing case emerged involving Nicholas Jenner, a man from Chatham with a troubling history of child exploitation.Jenner, who is 47 years old, was found to have devised a sinister plan to meet and sexually assault an eight-year-old girl.
His method of grooming the victim involved using a Lion King toy, which he intended to use as a tool to manipulate and lure the child.
Jenner believed he was communicating with the mother of the young girl after initially engaging in conversations within a chatroom.
In reality, he was speaking with an undercover police officer who had posed as the child's mother.
The court heard that Jenner had offered £200 for an hour with 'Erin,' a pseudonym for the child, in order to carry out his depraved fantasies.
His intentions were laid bare during the online exchanges, where he detailed his plans and expressed his willingness to go through with the assault.
Judge Recorder David Jeremy QC sentenced Jenner to six years in prison, emphasizing the gravity of his intentions.
The judge stated, “You thought you were paying a mother to pimp her own child, you thought the child was being sold for sex.” The court also determined that Jenner continued to pose a significant risk of reoffending, leading to an additional four-year sentence to be served on licence after his release.
During the hearing at Maidstone Crown Court, it was revealed that Jenner had a prior conviction from 2016 for downloading explicit images of children.
Despite being given supervision after that conviction, he breached the terms by failing to notify authorities and quickly resumed planning to commit further offences against children.
Jenner, who has a balding appearance, appeared in the dock and shook his head as parts of a probation report highlighted his deeply entrenched interest in child sexual abuse.
It was also disclosed that he is in a relationship with a woman who is the mother of the eight-year-old girl.
The woman condemned Jenner’s actions as “horrible and disgusting,” but maintained that their relationship was “caring and loving.” Court documents revealed that Jenner encouraged his partner to dress up and role-play, further illustrating his disturbing mindset.
Prosecutor Rio Pahlavanpour explained that Jenner had attempted to contact the undercover officer through social media, unknowingly initiating contact with law enforcement.
His first question to the supposed mother was, “Any pictures of your daughter?” indicating his predatory intent from the outset.
As the conversations progressed, Jenner outlined his sick plan, even sending a photograph of himself to the officer and stating he was serious about going through with the act.
He inquired about any limits to his conduct and arranged to travel to a Starbucks café in Cardiff for the meeting.
However, Jenner stopped communicating with the officer days before he was scheduled to travel.
When authorities arrested him, they found that he had deleted all chat logs from his devices, but the photograph he had sent was recovered from his phone, confirming his involvement and intent.
