NEIL YOUNG SENTENCED FOR SEXUAL ABUSE IN RUNCORN AND NOW RESIDES AT LINDEN BANK BAIL HOSTEL IN SANDBACH, CHESHIRE
In November 2012, Neil Young, who has since been released, is currently residing at Linden Bank bail hostel in Sandbach, Cheshire, which overlooks a nearby children’s playground.
Back in February 2011, Neil Young, aged 35, of Green Bridge Close, Castlefields, was convicted for exploiting two young girls in Runcorn.
He pleaded guilty to eight counts of sexual assault against children.
On Friday, he was sentenced to four years in prison at Warrington Crown Court and was ordered to sign the sex offenders register for life.
Young victimized two girls aged 10 and 12 over a two-year period across three addresses in Runcorn.
Emma Myers, an officer from the Public Protection Unit who investigated the case, stated: “Young preyed on two vulnerable girls who will no doubt be affected by this for a very long time.
“Fortunately, they were brave enough to speak to the police and their courage has meant he is now behind bars, unable to hurt them or anyone else.
“I want to praise them for speaking out.
“I would urge anyone who has been the victim of any sexual offence, no matter how long ago, to speak to police.
“We have a dedicated team of officers with specialist knowledge and expertise in this type of investigation and we will do all we can to help and bring offenders to justice.”
