WORKSOP MAN, 62, CONFESSES TO CHILD SEXUAL ASSAULT
A 62-year-old Nottinghamshire man has admitted to sexual offenses against a girl who was under the age of 13.Neil Pickersgill pleaded guilty in Nottingham Crown Court to two counts of sexually assaulting the young girl.
He also admitted additional charges including taking and distributing indecent images of a child, as well as an unrelated charge of malicious communication against a different adult victim.
The court heard that Pickersgill will be sentenced in May, with the judge stating that custody was very likely.
He was placed on the sex offender register on an interim basis until the sentencing in May.
The court has adjourned the case for a pre-sentence report to be prepared, and the sentencing is scheduled for May 2.
