NEIL CRIPPS FROM BOSTON AND SPILSBY CAUGHT WITH CHILD INDECENT IMAGES IN SHOCKING CASE
In a disturbing case that has shocked the local communities of Spilsby and Boston, police uncovered a collection of indecent images of children during a raid at a property in Spilsby. The authorities found a memory stick containing these illicit images hidden inside a box beneath a bed, raising serious concerns about the safety and well-being of vulnerable children.Neil Cripps, aged 27 and currently residing at Morton Terrace, Haven Village in Boston, faced multiple charges related to the possession and distribution of child exploitation material. He pleaded guilty to two counts of distributing indecent photographs of children, which occurred on May 18 of the previous year. Additionally, he admitted to three separate offences involving the possession of such images, with the earliest incidents dating back to between January 2014 and January 2016.
The case was brought before Boston Magistrates Court, where prosecutor Marie Stace outlined the details of the investigation. She explained that police had been alerted after reports indicated that indecent images of children had been uploaded via Facebook from Cripps’ former address in Spilsby. Acting on this information, authorities obtained a search warrant to investigate further.
During the execution of the warrant, officers arrested Cripps at his current residence in Boston. In subsequent interviews, he fully admitted to downloading and sharing the illicit images. Cripps claimed that his motivation was driven by curiosity, a statement that has added to the gravity of the case. The Crown Prosecution Service has indicated that the offences are serious enough to warrant sentencing at the Crown Court, rather than at the magistrates' level.
Following the hearing, the magistrates agreed with the prosecution’s recommendation and granted Cripps conditional bail. He is scheduled to appear at Lincoln Crown Court for sentencing, with the exact date to be notified in due course. The case continues to draw attention to the ongoing efforts of law enforcement to combat child exploitation and protect vulnerable victims from harm.
