SELF-STYLED 'LADIES' MAN' JAILED FOR VOYEURISM AND REVENGE PORN
Naushad Faruk, 33, also known as Jonny Na$h, is a self-styled 'ladies' man' who has been jailed for three-and-a-half years for serious voyeurism and perverting the course of justice.
He manipulated women into performing sex acts on him, secretly filming these acts with a camera hidden in his watch.
After filming, he sent revenge porn-style videos to the women involved.
One of his victims received a disturbing message on social media where Faruk edited a sex tape showing her professional name and left a threatening message saying, 'What happens next is up to you.' Following his arrest, police found additional 'sex tapes' on his digital devices, leading to the identification of two other women, one being a model and the other a sex worker.
During his trial at Blackfriars Crown Court, Faruk was depicted as disruptive, being removed from court multiple times for heckling victims and witnesses.
He was convicted of three counts of voyeurism and two of perverting the course of justice.
The court sentenced him to 42 months in prison, with some sentences served consecutively, and imposed a 12-year restraining order preventing him from contacting the victims.
Detective Constable Rob Jones highlighted the severity of the case, emphasizing the distress caused to victims who were filmed without consent in situations they were unaware of, and reaffirmed that threats to release revenge porn are treated with strict judicial and police action.
