BRACKNELL SEX ATTACKER JAILED FOR 17 YEARS AFTER ASSAULTING TWO WOMEN
A sex attacker, Ajay Gorania, aged 42 and from Loughborough, has been sentenced at Reading Crown Court to a total of 17 years in prison for heinous sexual offences committed against two women in the Bracknell area.Gorania was convicted of serious crimes including rape and multiple sexual assaults.
The court heard that he committed these offences between 2007 and 2013.
The first woman was subjected to rape and endured two other serious sexual assaults for which Gorania received a concurrent sentence of 12 years, 7 years, and 2 years respectively.
Additionally, he was found guilty of two counts of serious sexual assault on a second woman, each carrying a five-year sentence, along with another count of sexual assault earning a one-year sentence, all to be served concurrently.
The verdict was reached by a unanimous jury on Thursday, October 22, after a two-week trial at Reading Crown Court.
Detective Constable Amanda Winterbourne, investigating officer from Force CID based at Maidenhead, expressed her appreciation for the victims' resilience and bravery, stating, "I have huge respect for the two victims in this case who have shown remarkable resilience and bravery.
I hope that the conviction of this man will help them knowing that justice has been done."
