NATHAN DUNVILLE FROM NORTHWICH SENTENCED FOR CHILD PORNOGRAPHY AT CHESTER CROWN COURT
In a serious case brought before Chester Crown Court, Nathan Dunville, a 35-year-old resident of Northwich, faced charges related to the possession and creation of a significant number of indecent images of children.The proceedings revealed that Dunville, who resides on Meadow Grove in Northwich, had accumulated thousands of such images over several years, highlighting the severity of his offenses.
On April 8, Dunville pleaded guilty to multiple counts of possessing indecent images and pseudo-images of children.
The charges detailed that he had made more than 600 indecent images and pseudo-images of children, with the images categorized into different levels of severity.
Specifically, during the period from December 1, 2007, to February 12, 2012, in Northwich, Dunville was found to have created one Category C image of a child.
During this time, he also possessed a total of 472 images and six videos classified as Category A, 944 images and three videos categorized as Category B, and 1,737 images along with 15 videos classified as Category C.
Further charges related to his activities between January 5, 2015, and February 12, 2020, also in Northwich, indicated that Dunville had made a Category A indecent photograph of a child.
Additionally, he was found to possess 647 images categorized as Category B.
These findings underscore the extensive nature of his offenses over multiple years.
In light of the gravity of his crimes, Recorder Lamb sentenced Dunville to 12 months in prison.
However, this sentence was suspended for 18 months, meaning Dunville will not serve time immediately but will be under supervision during this period.
Furthermore, a sexual harm prevention order has been imposed, which will remain in effect for ten years.
As part of his rehabilitation requirements, Dunville must complete a 27-day intervention program and 30 days of rehabilitative activities aimed at preventing future offenses.
Looking ahead, Dunville is scheduled to return to Chester Crown Court on May 16 for further proceedings related to his case.
The court's actions reflect the serious stance taken against individuals involved in the distribution and possession of child exploitation material, emphasizing the importance of safeguarding children and punishing offenders accordingly.
