BARNTON MAN SHOVED WOMAN'S HEAD TOWARDS BATHROOM COUNTER
Lee Fairfield, of Hayes Drive, had been arguing with the woman at an address in Northwich in the early hours of Saturday, August 23, last year.
At 4.23am, police received reports he had been ‘behaving aggressively’ before attacking her, but when they arrived, he had gone.
The 36-year-old, who has a history of mental health problems, including paranoid schizophrenia, was arrested later that day.
Fairfield appeared at Chester Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, January 14, where he admitted one count of common assault against the woman.
Taking his history of committing violent offences into account, the bench sentenced him to six weeks in prison and made a restraining order, banning him from contacting the victim by any means for two years.
On Tuesday, September 30, 2025, Fairfield was sentenced to 10 weeks in prison, suspended for one year, for offences which included biting his ex-girlfriend on the face.
On that occasion, district judge, Imran Hussain said: “Your record tells me you are a violent man.”
