TEENAGER JAILED FOR PRESSURING UNDERAGE GIRLS INTO SENDING EXPLICIT IMAGES
A teenager who started online relationships with two under-age girls and pressured them into sending him sex images has been locked up for four years.
Nathan Canning coerced the teenagers, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, into doing whatever he wanted and when they tried to end the relationships he made threats to send indecent images to their parents or post them online.
Canning, who was 18 at the time of the offending, told one girl: "Just one click and I will send them to your dad.
My finger is on the send button." Bradford Crown Court heard that Canning carried out his threats by sending an indecent image, supposedly of one of the girls, to her father while he told the other complainant's dad that she was sending nude photos to adult men like him.
Recorder Alistair MacDonald QC sentenced Canning, of Ling Royd Avenue, Halifax, to four years in a young offenders institution after he admitted offences including causing or inciting a child to engage in sexual activity and sending malicious communications.
He will also have to register as a sex offender with the police for the rest of his life and is subject to a sexual harm prevention order for the next 10 years.
