MAN WHO KILLED MOTHER-OF-FOUR JAILED FOR OVER 20 YEARS
A man was sentenced to life imprisonment after admitting to the murder of Paris Kendall, a mother of four from Halifax.
Paris Kendall was discovered unresponsive in an alleyway off Keighley Road in Illingworth on 13 August last year, suffering from severe head injuries.
She succumbed to her injuries at the scene.
Later that day, police arrested her boyfriend, Lee Taylor, at his home on Athol Close.
Investigators retrieved clothing from the residence that was later confirmed to be stained with Paris’s blood.
On 15 August, Taylor, aged 40 and residing on Wellington Close in Halifax, was charged with her murder.
He also faced an additional charge of grievous bodily harm for an unrelated assault on a man that occurred on 29 April 2025.
Taylor appeared before Bradford Crown Court on 23 March, where he pleaded guilty to the murder of Paris Kendall on the same day the trial was scheduled to begin.
A separate trial for the assault, which Taylor denied, proceeded, and on 26 March, a jury convicted him of that charge.
He was ordered to serve a combined sentence of 21 years for both the murder and the assault.
Today, he was formally sentenced and remanded into custody.
