LIFE OF ABUSE ABUSE FROM PEOPLE MICHAEL GILBERT CALLED FAMILY
In May 2009, the mutilated and headless body of 26-year-old Michael Gilbert was discovered in a lake in Bedfordshire.
The investigation into his death revealed that he had been kept as a domestic slave by a family and subjected to severe torture in order to extract benefits payments.
During the court proceedings at Luton Crown Court, it emerged that Gilbert endured frequent and horrific assaults, carried out for the amusement of the Watt family and their associates.
Following the trial, James Watt, aged 27, along with his girlfriend Natasha Oldfield, 29, and Nichola Roberts, 21, were all convicted of his murder.
